Not only did I roll nothing short of miraculously well, I slew a godling, angered Lolth (the godling's mother), annihilated a gigantic section of the Underdark, and my charactor survived! I was playing a half-elf 17th level, N/G Cleric who specialized in archery. the group and I found a portal to the Demon Web, the native plane of *gasp* demonic spider monsters! :shock: ! who could have guessed!? Anyway, we slew a few spiders, and a group of Slaadi (ohhhh I HATE chaotic neutral), when we ran across a Baalor. Scary! It laughed and talked about it was going to eat us and blah blah blah, I let loose a quickened Flame Strike, and lobbed 3 arrows at him, all three arrows scored critically! I toppled an incredibly powerful demon on the iniative round. And to boot, the baalor's deaththroes killed the six or seven invisible demons we didn't know about. 8) Sweet. Rest to come later

THIS is why i bought BW - i want an rpg in which characters are defined by more than stereotype, where the world isn't flooded with so many magic items that no one created, where slaying a dragon is legendary not routine.

sitting in the ivory tower alone makes for a boring conversation and a stagnant interchange of ideas. i know this lesson well. many years did i spend in my fortress of solitude.
