The band: 3 Inches of Blood
The CD: Advance and Vanquish
If you are a fan of heavy metal (which I remember a few people talking about it) and a fan of fantasy (you probably are if you are on these boards) you must buy this CD.
Find it, buy it, and play it LOUD!!
C'mon, one of the songs is titled Destroy the Orcs for crying out loud!!
There's also Axes of Evil and Swordmaster. Twelve of the thirteen songs are fantasy themed. I read somewhere the lead singers parents read Lord of the Rings to him as a bedtime story, so he basically grew up on that stuff. Very cool.
If you get a chance, check it out. It's been in my truck for weeks now. It rocks!

Is they on par with Blind Guardian?

I've hered them - they are ok. Kublai they are rip-off of Running Wild mixed with some Rob Halford (Judas Priest) vocals, and some double bass from time to time. They do not sound like Blind Guardian though :|

Wayfinder is completely right!!!
I heard this band 3 INCHES OF BLOOD late one night on Uranium, and fell in love with them. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I was listening to them when I read Wayfinder's post. I've read some critics on them and most people say they're a mix between Judius Priest and Iron Maiden. Their lead singer (at least one of them, cuz they're fir doing that double lead singer shit) has the same voice of the guy from Judius Priest (rob halrod).
Despite my rant, I will recommond getting their new cd, Advance and Vanquish. Its the best album I've heard since A7Xs Waking the Fallen (my favorite) and Metallica's Master of Puppets.

I've been a fan of 3 Inches of Blood since they were screen-printing their own shirts and burning their own EP. They're an amazing metal act and a bunch of really awesome guys.
I, too, support these nerdy metalheads.
Go check out the website. http://www.3inchesofblood.com Some of my photography is on there, too. Hurrah.[/url]

I saw this thread title:
3 Inches of Blood; The band
... and I thought someone was going to comment on how extremely cool the belly-bands are on the Revision.
I guess I'll go slum with the game geeks and book fetishists and leave you metalheads to your discussion. ;)

Never too late to become a brother in metal, Michael.
Never too late.
