I am going to be starting a new game with a pretty much new group. Some are seasoned veterans, but others have either little experience with Burning Wheel, or essentially no RPG experience at all (I know I'm corrupting the innocent and pure).
Anyway, before we started an actual campaign, I wanted to run them through some sort of demo scenario to let them get used to the system and figure out what character type they want to play. I was thinking Von Goten's Predicament, which I thought was available for download, but no longer. Does anyone either A) Have the complete adventure they could send me or B) Have another similar one? Either made by HQ or one you've made up?
I really appreciate your help and suggestions. Thank you all.
Hey Mickeroo,
How many players do you have? I have something that may suit, but it's only got four characters.

Wow, Miko, so strange to just see you on a forum. In any case, I might as well ask you here; you are planning to do this at my house, roight?

Sadly, I have at least 4, but as many as 9, so I'm counting on 6. And lili, if you want, otherwise we go to a friendy basement.

Poisonous Ambition is always a good one for big groups.
Have fun with it, check out the system, and then think of longer adventures.

The thing with Poisonous Ambition is that I wanted the players to have experiecne with elves, dwarfs, and humans, which is what they'll be playing in the longer campain. The same problem goes for Nest of Webs. I would say The Gift, but half the group has played it. I wanted Von Goten's Predicament because other then me, the only person in the group who has played it is only a maybe anyway and it's relativly easy while showing off many of the game's mechanics and character types. Was it taken down just to be revised? Because if that's the case I can take the orignal and just make neccesary changes. Anyone have it still? Luke?
Hmmm...I planned on doing it this Friday, the 15th, which is why I may seem a little impatient for responses, sorry about that, especially Luke, I sent him like 3 PMs over the course of a few hours...sorry.
Allright, thanks everyone for your suggestions, if you can offer any more they would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and I'll make sure to tell you guys how it went in the campaign section.
Id say The Gift would be perfect for what your doing. Game can accomdate 6-8 players roughly, and it gives you experience with both elves and dwarves. The scenario can lead into verbal or physical conflict which can give a taste of the burning wheel mechanics. Also it doesnt involve much running around, so a few peopel in a basement at a table can do everything with ease. Just my own little imput. :)
alright, alright! I'll send the damn scenario.
the main problem, all the characters are Classic, not revised.

Well, like I said, the problem with the girft is that almost everyone has already played it. And Abzu, I am sorry for the harrasment, but these people feel the need to burn, I can't hold them at bay any longer.
By the way, Mezz, are you the guy with the puppet at Icon? I don't remember exactly, but I think it was a white lion? Just trying to associate a name with a face.
*EDIT* And it doesn't matter that they're classic, I can convert them, I have the books. Thanks again. Oh, and 27 posts makes me a prostitute....
