Resources and Forks

On pg 85 of the revised edition, under the heading, Resources vs Obstacle, it says "All of the rules apply-helping, FoRKs, artha, and advancement."
However, in the next section called "FoRKs" the book says "Players may not FoRK thier skills into Resources."

I am a little confused about this. Does this mean you FoRK in circles, affiliations, and reputaions? Because earlier, the book mentions circles being used to find services. Are circles for both?

I guess in short my question is: What is going on with the FoRKing resources? And I'm serious too, I have no idea.

No FoRKs for Resources, period.

FoRKs are only for skills, Resources and Circles are not skills.

Probably.

Circles rolls, of course, add the reputations and affiliations, but that's not technically a FoRK, as you add the full amount from each.

Circles tests can also benefit from creative use of Linked Tests. For instance, if you are trying to find a member of a criminal organization (and the scope of your Circles encompasses the criminal underworld), you or one of your friends might make a Street-wise, Black Market-wise or Underworld-wise, etc., roll as a Linked test to the Circles roll.

I don't see why you can't do the same with skills like Accounting, Amercement, Estate Management, the various craft skills, etc., as you work to gain capital for a large investment.

Linked tests are fine. No FoRKs, though. Yah can't FoRK stats, or attributes or whatever. Only skills.
