Does the webstore still have bugs that cause shipping rates to display incorrectly? If so, when will it be fixed? Alternatively, could I get a personal quote for shipping charges before I place my order?

I want to order 4 books, possibly 5: AdBu, MoBu, MaBu, BWG, and possibly 1 extra copy of BWG for a friend (if it's cheaper to ship the books together). The books would be shipped to Seoul, South Korea.

I filled my cart with all these books, and shipping charges display as $45.50. I read that there's a glitch caused by mixing BWG orders with other books. So, I filled my cart with 4 copies of AdBu, and the shipping charges still display as $45.50. Then I filled my cart with 12 copies of AdBu -- same shipping charges. What's up? Is that price correct?

I can't place the order until I know what the shipping charges should be, as it'd take forever to wait for an invoice to reach South Korea by post. Please let me know what I should do!

Thanks,
~ Dean

Although I can't address your issue, where in Seoul are you? Perhaps we could get a Burner Wheel game going?

Mist things ship using USPS Priority Mail flat rate. $45 corresponds to the medium box:

13 5/8" x 11 7/8" x 3 3/8"
or
11" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

If you already have some BWR books handy you should be able to estimate it closely enough, although it sounds like the store is just going by weight and not really volume.

You can calculate USPS rates here:

That rate seems correct. It's a weird quirk of current USPS rates. Anything after the $13 envelope goes in the $45 box.

Strange. I was back home in the states a few months ago, and bought too much junk. Had to pay a small fortune to ship it all back to Korea.

OK, I will go for it, just as soon as my friend decides whether he wants a book or not. However, just in case there are additional shipping charges, how are invoices handled? If invoices are posted, is there any way we could set something up to have me receive invoices by email? Regular mail takes AGES to get here....

@kksimmons: Another Seoulite? Rockin'! I'm up in Nowon. I'll make a new thread in the meetups forum. Maybe we can find a few more burners!

Pretty sure all the invoicing is done via paypal/email.

USPS flat rate shipping is really cheap. Non-flat-rate at the same specs would be like %50 more.

Awesome! One of the guys I game with on weekends lives up in Nowon too and I know he's down for Burning Wheel since he's gold a copy of Gold on the way as well. My preorder should be here any day now as well. Send me an email and we'll figure something out, my username at gmail

45 seems OK.

You can replace BWG with Burning Empires to calculate shipping, there's no issues with B Empires, then you replace it again and buy it.
