(or 4 lights, 4 midis, etc)
I'm probably missing something, but, what happens?

I'm unsure whether you would take a light and erase the dots in sup, or you take a light wound.

(so, are 4 sups

3 sup/1 light
or 1 sup/1 light

?)

When you take a 4th Superficial, you mark a 4th Superficial on your PTGS, probably below the 3rd bullet point. You then take a +1 Ob penalty, in addition to the -1D penalty created by the previous 3 Supies.

So your total modifier is -1D, +1 Ob. A very bad place indeed.

When recovering from all those wounds, it'll still be from 4 Supies - not from a Light. 3 Supies equals the effects of 1 Light, but they are still considered 3 seperate Supies.

When it comes to other wounds, they are always treated seperate. 3 Lights don't equal anything but 3 Lights. Same for Midis, Sevs, and beyond.

Never erase wounds until they are treated or have healed by themselves, such as Supies can.

I don't have the revision yet, but in the modified classic version (as per the alternate wound tolerances download that more or less replaced the printed variant) 3 Su wounds meant that the +1 Ob got converted into a -1D. This doesn't mean (IIRC) that they are translated into a Li wound, just that the modification changes. If you get a fourth Su, you get the +1Ob back.

1 Su : +1 Ob
2 Su : - (the +1 Ob stands though)
3 Su : -1D (the +1 Ob is converted into -1D)
4 Su : -1D and +1 Ob

Li, Mi, Se, Tr (and Mo) stack as usual. 4 Li = -4D, 4 Se = -12D, but noone can take that much. Remember, if a stat or attribute reaches 0 you're out of the game until wound attention/treatment/healing changes the modifications.

That doesn't jive with the last line on pg. 194 in the rule book. It says - "The wounds are now considered single Light Wound for purposes of the penalties and recovery."
