Naturally, it comes on the same day that I have a short story due for class and PDF's for 30 and Polaris drop onto my desk.
I will look it over once the short story is done but I just can't do so before that.
I haven't had a spare moment to look at the new beautiful books. Two copies came into Odyssey Games this afternoon and I know that one of the gamers in my group bought one of 'em just as the store closed. On first glance the text is really much easier on the eye and the art is really stunning.
I looked over the dwarves today, just glanced through and they're great. I'm looking forward to burning up Jeff's dwarven PC for the Vault game.
The buzz around the game on RPG.net has been really pleasant too, with good vibes all around. Very nice.
Hopefully, tonight afte work, after reading Polaris for my Friday playtest session I will have time to chew on some BW before I collapse.

Damn narrativists getting under foot!
And how did you get a pdf of 30? you're tight with Wick?

Its out today, open to the public but I'll wait 'till my Special Edition dingus get's here before reading that one.
Tonight I'm devouring Polaris and BW together in one glorious feeding frenzy of good gamingness!

What? I hate Spiderman don't you know that already?
The fever's hit here in Ithaca.
The upcoming Burning Wheel Campaign, the Vault, has got legs. The pre-play, pre character burn e-mails have been creative and awesome. I am really excited to see what we all come up with. Looks like we'll have a Big Burn meeting on Monday or Tuesday. Shweet.
It is going to be a big experiment on inter-species party play. We'll see how it goes.
They're buying the book too, which is nice. Its nice to have a game that I can tell my friends to buy without any reservations.
My reading of the game has been down to a slow crawl because of a creative writing class and volunteering for some Polaris playtesting, which got cancelled tonight. My plans tonight are to finish a short story and read up on the revision.
and read up on the revision.
see, the tables are turned. Now I'm the one who's waiting!
