OK! Last session of our Masters campaign with Luke running we had a Duel of Wits between my character supported by my two buddies versus three necromantic summoners.
My will is B8, his was B7. My Virtuous Persuasion is B5. His Bargaining is G8(?). I have 4 FoRKs I throw in (Oratory, Haggling, Conspicuous, and Intimidation). He throws in his. Both of us get Helping dice from our two supporters.
Our Bases start out like so: Me - 16, his 15.
We begin. The lead necromancer Feints. I make a Point. Huzzah! The necromancer loses 12 dice after I use my "Glib" trait to reroll failures and then open end my 6s!!!
Next Volley - I avoid, he rebutts. Nothing. Then he Obsfuscates and wins! I lose my action and get +1 Ob to my next action.
2nd exchange 1st Volley. I Dismiss, he Avoids. I destroy him and bring him below zero. He failed to reduce me by any successes at all!
I win the first non-compromise I have even seen in Duel of Wits! Best of all, it was against Summoners whose whole lives have been devoted to winning Duels of Wits with demons and spirits.
The prize? Our original bargain for knowledge is now protected by the threat of revealing the summoners' true names!
