Ok, I didn;t find this in the revised edition, i guess I just missed it, but I am asking here now.
When a sorcerer is casting a spell, what, if any, other actions can he perform at the same time.
Specifically, can I cast Whitchflight while running away from guards?
thanks in advance

Positionning rules states that you can only script Maintain while casting a spell. Probably to reflect that you can't run at full speed while chanting and handwaving.

well, maintain means that you keep the smae distance between you and your opponent, not that you stand your ground (at least as far as I got it) which would be pretty much like running away from guards, you just can't run fast enough to loose them entirely.
However, I am, like I said, not sure about this, which is why I am asking.

Yep. You've got it. You can actually script Maintain OR Let 'Em Come. With enough successes on Maintain, you can keep enemies from Closing with you as you cast. The advantage to Let 'Em Come is you don't have to pay the +1 Ob for Moving Quickly.

I'm glad you are getting a good handle on the rules, Kolja.
BW page 153. Incant spell action. It's pretty explicit.

We're just making our way through the books.
It'll all come together by the first game.
