So anyone actually played any BW games in the past month? What's been going on?
Hm, let's see. In our campaign, in the past month, we have raided and sacked two fortresses (slaughtering a ten thousand man strong army in the process), and subjugated the last of a line of ruling princes.
Then the players, who are hunting for a powerful clan of sorcerers known as the Red Council, forced their king (via intimidation, grand eloquence and threats) that the only way to be safe and simultaneously draw out the sorcerers was to retreat from the conquered lands and hide back in his own. There was much politicking and discussing. I think a whole session went to just the negotiations with the king.
(At the same time, the king's vassals are dividing up the conquered lands between themselves.)
Now the players have coerced an informant to lead them to the secret entrance to the sorcerer's city in the mountains. They stand on the slope of a non-descript peak, just another wind swept glacier, looking down into vent shafts that plunge down into the heart of the mountain.
this week they'll try to sneak through the vent shafts into the city.
