This could go under a number of headings in the forums here.

I just got The Burning Wheel and I love the online material, with the Great Wolves being my favorite. I'm wondering what is coming up in the future for Character, Magic, and Monster Burner wise.

Welcome, NiallNai! :)

(disclaimer: I am not the game designer. Abzu is. I only suggest things - which he will often ignore. Therefore, none of what you read may come to pass or it will but not necessarily the same.)

There are several projects in the works, but in which order they will appear, I know not.

The Monster Burner is the hottest right now and is entering full production. It will contain the extra races as available in the Download section, as well as a few "super-secret" ones! It will also have a Bestiary of pre-burned representatives of those races, as well as individual listings of a host of other monsters - from Pixies to Dragons. Finally, it will include a monster laboratory where you can generate your own monster! A Monster Wheel? :?

The Magic Burner will include the Abstractions, Summoning, and Orc Hatred, as well as Enchanting and Nigromancy. It will list a bunch of new spells created using the Wheel of magic and a list of magic items.

Eventually, I imagine the Character Burner will include a list of pre-burned characters - a sort of Rogues Gallery, if you will. Any characters you submit might find it's way into these pages. Post them in The Womb forum. The CB might also incorporate the new traits and LPs which have been discussed here at BW.org.

What else...? Well, there are a couple of things, but I fear to mention them as Abzu might explode and devour me! :( Just think of what most other RPGs have; campaign settings, adventures, etc.

You can learn a lot about this by going to conventions as well. many pieces that you might see in the future are being playtested and introduced at conventions.

For instance you can learn more and more about one of Burning Wheels newest campaign settings by playing in the PhilCon Arena and other events. Conventions are a great way to show your support to Burning Wheel.

At DragonCon Luke playtested his newest adventure - Poisons Ambition and boy did we have a blast!
