While this will only be read by the people affected long after the fact, but I hope that all those affect by the Black Out got through it as best they could and that they didn't suffer any long lasting problems.

So glad I don't work in Manhattan anymore. My area of New Jersey was mostly unaffected.

Hmm - it was kinda good with me. Of course we were working at the moment - and i work outside, so the first we didin't realize that power went off - than people started blaming us for that :PP (really), after long explenations they finally went to their houses :), next was a little exciting return from mid Queens to nassau county (without traffic lights and with packed highway :). Rest of evening was spend on reading till sun was up, and than sleep. When i woke up after 20 minutes power was back, but i heard that i took way more time to bring power back on manhattan, and i heard that everything went wrong because of canadians :PPP (i'll skip my comment bout truth behind southpark).

Stop trying to blame your antiquated power grid problems on us, yankee monkeys! I believe that the latest theory is that the blackout was caused by a massive problem in Cleveland. As in Cleveland, Ohio. As in the Cleveland, Ohio, UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
whatever.
it was good and bad. Like a summer snow day set in 28 Days Later without the zombies. Or at least the zombies weren't trying to eat me, they were just shambling and shuffling.
Never expected to see NYC that dark. It was kind of chilling.
