Example character age and Stats Pool tables

Hi All,

I'm new to the Burning Wheel world; just got the Revised edition books and really like what I'm reading! :D

I've had a search on these forums (errata etc) but have a couple of questions about things that look like typos or should be in an errata.

Firstly, the Age of the example character that's calculated on p16 of CB.

The age example is calculated as 30 years - but - as far as I can see the Worksheet shows a total of 31 years (10+4+6+5+4 years + 2 Leads).

Should the age be 31 or am I misunderstanding how the calculation is made :?:


Secondly (and this is trivial); on the Dwarf (p48), Elf (p81) and Orc (p198) Starting Stats Points tables the first row is '≥ X years'...
souldn't this be '≤ X years' (i.e. "less than or equal to") :?:

The character's age is 30. however there is nothing wrong with your maths either. The problem is that the Time listed under Desperate killer is wrong, it should be 3 years (as given in the lifepath sections), not the 4 listed in the example.

There's a similar problem with skills as in the example Neophyte Sorcerer is listed as having 7 skill points when in fact it's only 6 in the lifepath sections. (Hence it being 21 skill points).
