Abzu (or whomever is responsible), can you clarify what, exactly, you meant by this lifepath? I assume that it follows the mythological root of the name; a sort of beautiful trophy boy for a more powerful figure. I just wanted to see if you had any clarification, as I'm considering using it for my PbP character.

You got it. It was, from what little i read, a euphemism for a young homosexual lover in the middle ages.

as a lifepath, it connotes that you live an openly gay lifestyle (rather than a closeted one, which is possible for any character).

That's cool, and basically exactly what I was looking for. I was having trouble fitting it into the character's lifepaths, because if I put it second, it made me a little uncomfortable thinking that the character started down such a sexually-driven path at, what, 13? It seems really only apropos in the third LP slot.

Anyway, glad I wasn't mixed up. It's just what I was looking for.

If you're uncomfortable with it, don't do it, of course, but there's no need your character (nor the culture) need to be uncomfortable with it - if that's what you want.

(IMHO)

I can't help being amused by this, given my username here :D

(and no, I'm just named after the moon of Jupiter rather than the mythological figure :). Incidentally, it turns out that Zeus elevated Ganymede into the heavens - he's the waterbearer that is the constellation Aquarius!)
