At our most recent game of Legacies, Eruditus mentioned somthing after I had made a spell for him forgetting about the diffrence between sylables and how now spells use actions. So the question is this, do sylables from the abstraction rules equate directly out to actions or do they get divided by 2 so to have them take the same amount of time. Eru said that the sylables equated directly now to actions which would effectivly mean that all spells now take twice as long to cast. It just kind of confused me that this would be the case.

if you're using the BWC rules, you divide spell syllables in two to determine the casting actions.

On the other hand, if you are using Burning Wheel Revised, spells no longer have Syllables, they just have Actions. Abstractions from the Abstractions Revised chapter that is now posted on the Web site also only deal with Actions.
