For those of you who play, have played, or plan to play a sorcerer, which route do you take? Do you mainly buy facets or spells with your resource points? Is there a reason you go with one over the other?

The answer to this decision must come after a discussion with the GM and other players of how much access to learning new spells and facets the sorcerer would have once the campaign began.
Personally, I like to go for spells with one or two key facets on the side. Take for instance Wall Walker. How could would it be to add in the Presence Area of Effect to that spell and allow your whole party to wall walk! Got White Fire? Why not add in another Single Target Area of Effect facet and shoot two bolts at once?
If you forego spells in favor of facets, make sure you buy enoug facets to make complete spells! This mean at least 5 facets. Also make sure your have a Sorcery skill, Will, and Forte as HIGH as possible! Facets are very difficult to cast for inexperienced sorcerers.

I've burned (but not played) a sorceror or 2.
The best answer would be 'whatever fits your character concept'.
But the one's I've burned haven't had too much rps, so I tended to go for ready-made spells.

And to add onto concept, as a non-canon note, for my games I say that you can get Abstractions after you gray sorcery.
But that is, as mentioned before, your GM/play group's call.
