The running thread on Grey Shading over in the BWRevised Forum got me to thinking that perhaps it would be neat to add some extended benefits to the various Trainings if the character with the Training Skill had a lighter shade for the appropriate root skills. I'll throw out the first one to see if you guys even think its worth pursuing this any further.

Shaded Armor Training
A character with both Speed and Power with lighter shades is capable of functioning more comfortably within the confines of their armor. Grey Shaded Speed and Power reduce the clumsy penalties from armor by negating any +1Ob incurred from wearing the armor. White shaded stats reduce clumsy penalties by one category of penalty, i.e. from -2D to -1D, -1D to +1Ob, or +1Ob to no penalty.

Is it worth it to look at the others or is this doing too much with the light shaded stats?

I think that should be a part of better made suits of armor. For me, training is training. I don't think that characters with lighter shade stats need benefits of this kind.

That would be a different rule change altogether since armor doesn't do that by the rules. I almost agree with you that training is pretty much training, but wanted to post to see what the consensus was. I can also see an argument for providing the benefit to those with the lighter shades since they're naturally more gifted at the root stats that support the skill and there's currently no representation of how that would manifest itself in the Training skills. I'll let it hang for now and am open to being convinced either way. :)
