Here's a couple of new weapons I've been thinking about. The Lash is based off the Troll Lash and costs 2 resource points.
It's a natural weapon for bosuns, slavers, torturers and taskmasters, and makes for colorful improvised maneuvers.

Lash Power 1 ADD 2 Speed unwieldy VA 0 Reach longest. Articulated weapon. May great strike.
Damage for the lash is based off the user's skill, not his Power attribute.

The Great Hammer is superior quality and combines the standard quality Hammer with the Great Mace.
I see a kind of massive daffy duck type hammer.

Great Hammer Power 4 ADD 2 Speed unwieldy VA 3 Reach long. Two-handed weapon. May great strike.

I also want to make a claymore if nobody else already has, and have three ideas for it:
1. Power 5, or
2. Reach longer, or
3. Equivalent to the various 2h axes.
Anybody have strong opinions on what Claymore stats should look like?

I'd probably put a claymore as a polearm.

lashes. i'd say just base the damage off Power without any bonus. Limit base Power to 4.

On great big two-handed swords:

With the pictures that I have seen of reanacters using these larger swords, I can see a zweihander (or dopplehander  ) being used like a polearm, but a claymore is not quite as large as a zweihander. I think that Luke's comment about bastard swords in this thread that Yagathai points out should be applied. Namely, large, hand-and-half swords should get a +1 Power modification when they are used with two hands, no adjustment for just one handed use, and the larger swords, such as claymores should also get the +1 Power, but incure the penalty of dropping the WSpd to Unwieldy if used in just one hand. Maybe the advantage of using the really large swords over the hand-and-halfers is that they get a longer range :?:
