1) Beat and Bind. B&B says that its countered by Counterstrike but Counterstrike says that its only effective against Strike, G. Strike, Disarm, and Push. So how do I resolve Counterstrike versus Beat & Bind?
2) Great Strike. Great strike can't be Blocked but it seems to be affected by the defensive portion of Counterstrike. Is this true? If so, what is the difference between Block and the defensive portion of Counterstrike?
Back to my old ways again...
1) B+B is a younger move. I just forgot to add it to C/S's list. C/S works against B+B.
2) A Counterstrike is simply a different move than Block. Therefore it works against Great Strike. For example, a Counterstrike against a Great Strike could involve striking first -- the "defense dice" would represent your timing in that case.

While I'm here, I have another dumb question about Counterstrike:
If I script a Counterstrike can I use the attack dice against my opponent even if he hasn't scripted a Strike, etc?
For instance, say on v1a1 I script Counterstrike and my opponent scripts Avoid, can I use all-but-one of my dice to attack him and just not worry about defending?
Or do I only get to roll the attack if my opponent scripted Strike, Push, Great Strike or Disarm?
Thanks for the clarification.
- Scorpio intrigued by this.

That's the case. Doesn't work unless it actually counters the move.

And don't forget you always have to declare the number of die going into each pool (Attack and Defense) prior to learning your opponents script. I just make a small note of it on the combat sheet when I script the manuever.
