Hi guys. I love the game, and it's definitely the first one that I've seen that gives you playable orcs that are done well and seriously. I am really pumped about the possibility of running an orc campaign.

Anyhow, I was looking at orc lifepaths and I saw that Black Destroyer has a Trait called Low Cunning, but can't find a description of it anywhere, and it's not indexed. Am I missing it or is it not in the book?

Hey Bret, and welcome!

You can't find it because there isn't one , but this is a description of this trait from Classic edition:

Low Cunning Orc Lifepath Trait
Black Destroyers possess a level of cunning absent from the most Men and Elves. Think Raptors.
That goes into errata BTW

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply Drozdal.

This question is probably going to be really dumb, but I was up all night last night reading the rulebooks and not everything stuck, but what would the mechanical benefit of Low Cunning be? Most of the orc lifepath traits I've looked at seem to have special mechanical benefits (Where There's a Whip There's a Way, etc.) Does it give you a die bonus where cunning would be useful?

Sorry if this is clearly explained in the books. The rules were just really dense and I'm still sifting through them.

I suspect the reason it's not in the book (don't have mine with me, sorry) is that Low Cunning is a Character Trait. Character Traits do not have mechanical applications. They exist for color (and can generate Artha, of course).

The meaning of a Character Trait is intended to be interpreted by the player.

Dro, Bret,

Low Cunning is a character trait. It what it is. No description necessary, because it's pure color!

Could it ever be turned into a Call-On trait?

Sure. just pay the points, set the conditions, yadda yadda. It's all in the Monster Burner.
