I compiled a pdf of the Monster Burner errata and updates. you can download it here. (http://www.burningwheel.org/wiki/index.php?title=Image:Monbu_errata.pdf)

It's 14 pages long, in the standard BW format, but the first four pages contain the really important stuff.

It bears repeating: the support for BW just rocks.

This is great! :)

Something that caught my eye: On the bottom of p.4, parts of the Roden Traits go into the nice illos. May (dare) I suggest a page break before Roden Traits? (I'm gonna get a new title for this aren't I... Lowest of the unclean, He Who Ought To Shut Up or something is coming my way... I can feel it ;))

Speaking of titles, I've been a Tax Collector for quite a while now.

...and thanks for getting that errata out; it really looks great!

BW so needs an intern.

The examples refering to the Character Burner seem to be way off (at least to the CB-R, maybe OK for prior to the revised version?). The Tailor and Clerk should be swapped and the page references are off on all four examples (52->122 for Tailor; 53->126 for Clerk; 62->144 for Born Slave; 48->119 for Hunter).

Sincerely,
Keith

Thanks, Keith. This has all been corrected in the new printing of the Monster Burner.

I realize this is too little, too late, but...all in the name of completeness:

In the Troll LPs, "Born to the Pit" lists Pit as one of its leads.

Also, under the Tasting the Lash LP trait, it says, "Also, see page 125 of the Character Burner for more info." This points to the first full page of the LPs of Men. (A leftover from BWC, perhaps?)

How does one tell if a Monster Burner is first or second printing?

I put one on hold at the Sentry Box in Calgary, since I'm going to be visiting there next week (no stores in Winnipeg carry BW books :( ). But the dealer said, "I can't see anything on it that would imply if it's the second printing or not. I do know it was printed in 2004, if that helps." So I'm thinking he's got the first printing.

Alas for shipping charges to Canada!

The second printing has a blurb on the back cover about it being the 2004 Indie RPG Supplement of the year. The copyright page will also list © 2004, 2007, but the back cover is a quicker thing to check.

It also says "Second Printing with corrections" above the copyright.

I don't know if this was changed in the new version but should I just assume that the Great Wolf summoning is just straight spirit binding now? Also can wolves draw the circles?
