A friend of mine and I are working up a couple of characters to beat on one another with. I'll be playing a tank type of character, my friend will be playing a speedy character. The classic combat test. Anyway, neither of us has played BW before though we both have the rules. So, for your perusal, here is the character I'll be playing. I fudged the resource points with regard to contacts because frankly, we're not going to be using contacts at all, and I also thought it added some humor. Anyone named "Bob" who is offended by the usage of that name: My apologies, it's meant totally in jest with no insult to real "Bobs" intended! I guess I could use another name like "Luke"... heheh. Anyway, here's Sir Robert.

I had some difficulty with figuring out weapon damages, but I'm certain that I got it all correct after reading, rereading, and checking examples. Considering that this is a "test" character with pretty much zero chance of being actually played, how'd I do? :)

yikes. it looks like you have successfully mildly munchkined your first BW character.

but, we can't judge him until we know how many LPs and what they were!

AH! Born a po' Noble child, then did Page - Squire - Kniggit. We're limiting to four total LPs. Did I mention getting superior armor (chain + helm + shield) and weapons (broadsword + dirk)? Yeah. I wanted to get good equipment rather than a bunch of combat experience, thus the Noble choice. I figured Sir Robert's Steel based on some actual combat experience against non-Boblanders. I would say he's "fairly optimized" for his "job".

My friend's building up a nasty rogue type somewhat as expected. Should be some interesting battles. First one will be a face to face starting at 10 paces apart with no "props" around us to work with. Next one will probably start with neither of us knowing where the other is. Sir Robert with his helm should flunk that one handily...

well, mr roguey better be on his toes.
knights in BW, especially munchkinned ones, are tough and brutal. he's going to have to work to get that knife into you before you murder him with that sword.

tell him I wish him the best of luck and that I, at least, am rootin for him!
