My reign of terror continues!

It's a grab back tonight...

First up, suggestions for the future: the discussion of versus tests on BW37-38 does not actually address what to do in the case of ties. I can actually puzzle out what makes sense in most cases so far, but a future version of the rules might want to address this.

Errata: BW94 lists sword hilts as a slow weapon, BW195 lists hilt/butt as a fast weapon.

Now on to some actual questions: If you are holding someone in a Lock, and opt to increase pressure, if they *win* the test against you, do their successes reduce the lock you currently have?

Performing a Great Strike requires a set. Performing any Strike with an unwieldy weapons requires a set. What is needed to perform a Great Strike with an unwieldy weapon? one set? two sets?

A Great Strike with an unwieldy weapon is a thing of beauty and terror. We had a blacksmith with a big hammer pull this one off once or twice. Yes, it's one "set" for the unwieldy and one for the Great Strike, but the results are spectacular.

Errata: "Grab bag."

Damn you and your meddling friends!
Hrm, I thought this was pretty self-explanatory. But I am certain the skill/obstacle section I note ties for specific skills.

Ties for blocks, avoids, etc -- where number of successes is reduced -- go to the defender. He has reduced his opponent's successes to zero.

Ties in directly competitive versus tests result in status quo. Each character has done equally well and not exceeded the other, thus nothing changes. This is the moment for BITs to come into play and declare a winner.

sh*t. well, there are fast hilts and there are slow hilts!
but... hilt strikes and butt smashes should be a slow weapon all around.

Yes. defender's successes always reduce attackers. Even if those successes are from a previous action being "held" on the defender.
