Beliefs: I am lord of the sky, Riding me is a privilege - not a right, Only The Bonded may ride

New Skills and Traits:

Avian: This creature has the form of a bird, complete with feathers, wings, and tail. Flying Speed Multipliers: Soaring x5, Flapping x10, Swooping x20. Ground Speed Multipliers: Wobble x1, Walk x1.5, Hop x2.

Eagle-Eyed: The legendary eyes of tan eagle are designed to find and locate prey thousands of paces below: Add +2 dice to Visual Perception tests.

Massive Stature: The Great Eagle is many times the size of its mundane cousins. From beak to the tip of its tail, it ranges from 4-7 paces. It wing span measure between 10-18 paces. (Based on bald eagle measurements: Body length=29-42" long/ Wing span=72-96" wide)

Bird of Prey: The eagle's talons were meant for deep penetration into its prey so that it might hold it tight: Power 2, VA 2, Count Locks as +1 Power for attempts to break free. The cruel and hooked beak of a Bird of Prey was meant to pierce and slice flesh: Power 3, VA 3, Fast weapon.

Bonded: When selected Great Eagle chicks hatch, they are bonded to a designated rider. This bonding is instinctual for the chick and results in a life-long, unswerving loyalty to that specific rider. The eagle will only allow its bonded rider to mount. Should The Bonded perish, the eagle will never allow another to mount.

Thunder Screech: As it reaches its target, the eagle cries a terrible screech. This causes an immediate Steel test for its prey.

Swoop Attack: The eagle is a master of the diving attack. Upon locating its prey, it folds its wings and drops into a steep dive. Moments before it reaches its target, it spreads its wings, screeches, and grabs the hapless prey in its terrible talons.

Soaring Training: This allows the eagle to stay high in the sky while using minimal energy. Floating on updrafts and gliding on winds, the eagle may maintain its height without flapping. The eagle can soar like this for a number of hours equal to his Forte. Soaring for longer than this period requires a new Forte test each hour, with a +1Ob per hour above its Forte.
