So, there's a chance that my brick is in the mail right now? RIGHT NOW? I will have my brick? Am looking for brick. Who found my brick?
Nick, your brick is in the mail. I have touched it.
I also shipped out a bunch of international orders today. So the first half are away. The rest will ship as soon as they arrive at HQ and Dro has blessed them with Polish armor.

I finally got my copy today and holy crap. It is amazing. Chris's drawing is so very seksi…I had to change my shorts.
The heft of the book was no surprise as I had sneaked a peak at the copy at the Strat. But actually owning the book and looking through it is different from just picking it up in a store. This thing…this beast. This tome. It is mine. And I am estatic.
I'll try to post a picture of my drawing soon. I frackin' love it. I might touch it again. Be right back.
My only disappointment…I can't seem to find Luke's signature anywhere. Thought the book would be signed by both of you. Whenever I grab my BW, it gives me a smile to see you welcoming me to the wheel. Chris's is great, but I was hoping for yours. It was BW that drew me back into rpgaming after all.
Though to be fair, I just flipped thru the book. The signature could be hidden!
Pedro,
The fanboy in me came out when I saw those awesome illustrations -- I'm not worthy to place pen to paper next to Chris. I didn't want to sully them with my scrawl.
Seriously. They're too good.

I figured that for the reason. Truly, Chris's drawing is most excellent. I nearly ruined the page twice already with my drool.
I gotta say. The tome is inspiring. The pdf only hinted at the spectacular quality of the book. I don't think I'm unique in that I usualy go straight to the back pages to read the index/ography…just superb. You don't disappoint. Thanks man!

Hey,
I got mine in the mail yesterday (book 3) and it's awesome. I mean, AWESOME! I love the look, the feel, and even the smell of the book. The pins and cards it was packaged with were an added, unexpected bonus.
I love me the drawing, also, and big thanks to Christopher for doing such a fine, fine job. The fact that it's got my name on the iron is even cooler. (Though I wish my last name were something awe inspiring and hard-sounding, not "Hosterman". Heh.)
Regards,
Daniel
P.S. Is there going to be a place to compile/collect scans of the custom artwork?

Cool, I figured you guys were going to do something like this, I just wanted to bring it to the table.
Oh, and I have no idea why I didn't mention this in my original post, but THANK YOU for all the work you put into packaging this book for shipping. My book is in pristine condition and there was obviously a ton of care that went into making sure it got to me that way.
With all of the precautions taken in the packing, I'm shocked that the postal service can screw these books up. They must be doing some massive damage to the boxes.
So, again, thanks for all the hard work and love that went into the book, from creation to it arriving at my door.
Regards,
Daniel

(Though I wish my last name were something awe inspiring and hard-sounding, not "Hosterman". Heh.)
What are you talking about, Hosterman is super hard sounding...have you never seen Cross of Iron? You just have to imagine the thickest German/Kern accent in the empires, screaming out across the battlefield... "Hostamaan!! Bring up ze Fuuzor! Kvikley!" "Hostaman, Halp me, how do I reload?!?"
I don't know if it is a German name, but it's totally got that Teutonic vibe.
All packages have shipped. If you don't have your book (or t-shirt or comic or whatever) yet, you should have it by the end of the week.
Thanks all for your supreme patience. It's been quite the ordeal.

Me.
Pic on the wiki. Sorry for the flash... but you get the idea.
I like to think that Iron group is Strike Force Coyote... and if you look really closely you can see my name on the chest of the lead armor.
So, now offically, I kick ass.

Got my #11 just a few days ago, and the picture of Trevor Faith in his IRON on the inside cover fills me with holy fervor for playing the game! :D
Alas, to my great horror, the pages are starting to separate from the binding, and the glue makes this horrible cracking noise whenever I open it. :( But, I have the PDF so I can soldier on, and I'll just open the book only occasionally to show of the fantastic illo! :D
(The cracking noise is probably just the paper, not the glue). But it's really starting to pull away from the binding? Sigh. It'll hold together, btw, because it's stitched. It just won't look as pretty.

Yeah, you could put a pencil down between the backing paper where it was glued to the pages, so I have to open it very carefully. :? But as you said it's stitched (thankfully) so it'll hold together. I'm gonna buy another copy for use at the table anyway.
Can't wait to play this game! :D

Hey Chris, are those hover tanks articulated? The perspective is a bit different in the rear section, and I wasn't sure if it was a trailer or just an artifact of doing a sketch in pen.

It's the "not using rulers" part of doing sketches, Tim. Also no pencil under-drawing.. just diving in and drawing with the pen. If something's off when you start, there's no correcting it.
er...
No, that's wrong. The IFV's in Faith Conquers are entirely articulated, kind of like "grav-millipedes". They can just stick their nose around a corner, pop off a shot, then pull back. Very high tech.

I just want to thank everyone who's responsible for this book...everyone at BWHQ...The packaging...superb!! What can only be descibed as an advanced bomb thumbing crusher had its way with my package...and the book survives unharmed, thank you, you will be rewarded! Chris, the sketch is awesome...my character is now completely 3 dimensional...it looks awesome!!
And ofcourse Luke! Thanks for having the ingenuity to create such unique systems, and for having love enough for the Iron empires to introduce us...nay...immerse us in its realities!
Awesome!
BTW- I'm #8, I don't have a very good camera...could you maybe post the archive photo I'm guessing was taken?

Holy smackeral! I'd anticipated a nice-looking book judging from the responses here, but this far surpassed my expectations. Excellent job to all who had a hand in it! I got number 23. Chris drew a guy with a nasty chain weapon actually calling me out by name. It's a bit intimidating to open the book and be personally threatened each time! :)
