It looks like sorcerers will basically always have 6+ forte. If they don't at start, Tax tests should get them up to there pretty quickly. I don't know whether that's a bad thing --- the power they handle giving them unnatural vigor even in age doesn't seem wrong. I'm just curious if that's the way it is supposed to work.

For the most part, you are correct. However, for sorcerers who spend their lives locked away in towers -- always casting patiently -- it is quite feasible to have a Forte of B4 or B3.
It's once these guys get out into the world and really start testing themselves, that's when the Forte rises.
And this is intentional. Sorcerers in BW do indeed possess an unnatural vigor. But this in no way "unbalances" these types of characters. They simply are what they are (and we like'em just how they are!).

I think it's awesome that Sorcerers have high Forte! Magic toughens them up over prolonged usage. This could explain why sorcerers live so long. My players' sorcerers both have B4 Forte to begin with and I look forward to those exciting times during which they'll earn tests.
