In the game, Called shoots are used to hit oponent on unarmored places.
But I think it should have more effects: called shoot to a weapon-holding hand may make the victim to drop his weapon (Natural Forte test vs. Ob equal to half the damage done); called shoot to the legs may make the victim fall down (Natural Speed or Agility vs. Ob equal to half damage done).
Called shoots to the head or neck with keen weapons should be very deadly. IMS should grow in 2 points each. It may make blindness (called shoot to the eye), or stuttering (to the mouth, reduce the abillity to speak to only 1 syllable per volley).
And the lest one: unconsciousness
Called shoots with blunt weapon may make the victim unconscious if the hit was a Superb hit to the fase (with fists, for example) or to the head (with a club or a pan :P ). the victim will make a Steel or Natural Forte test vs. half the damage done to him.

You may add here your own ideas :)

And remember - successfull bow called shoot to the neck or heart will allways kill you! (unless you have a very good armor, of course)

Fiz, I don't want to be a hard-ass, but this is untrue. Very untrue. While getting shot, stabbed or beaten (especially in the head) is painful and debilitating, I can provide numerous examples of severe neck trauma that did not result in death.

I don't know if you've actually played through a whole BW scenario, but the wound effects (in either version) are terribly unfriendly. No one likes getting wounded in this game, and I don't think anyone would make the claim that the penalties aren't harsh enough as they stand now.

I'm not telling you not to fool around with the system, but be careful not to make the results of combat even more overwhelming and horrible than they already are.

Pete and I have been playing around with various Steel test results from getting hit in various locations, maybe he'll post them.

Hmm... I don't have those notes, Abzu, but I can try to recall them.

Head Shot - Any Steel test taken from a Head Wound results in +1 Hesitation. It's easier to be dazed from a blow to the head than a wound on your leg.

Leg Shot - If it results in a failed Steel Test, then the target must Drop Prone. Or, it may result in a Speed test to remain standing.

Weapon Arm Shot - The weapon may drop from the stunned arm, thus causing an immediate Agility Test to hold onto it.
