So I was looking at doing a classic D&D themed campaign using Burning Wheel. I have been looking at the classic fantasy tropes and I think some of the cliche "classes" might be missing, but I am not sure. Sometimes the BW lifepaths throw me for a loop.

Looking at the Burning Wheel lifepaths, is there anything any of you think is missing to produced a classic D&D style game. While the lifepaths are great for making "commoners", it might be lacking the the classic "adventurer" department. I was thinking of making an Adventurer subsetting that was accessable at any point. This might not be necessary because I might be looking at the lifepaths wrong.

Any ideas, tips, and suggestions?

I don't think anything is missing. Did you not read Thor's latest post listing the groups of LPs that you would need to make classic D+D classes?

Yeah.. I found it after some searching. I tend not to look down in those forums too much. Those will help quite a bit.

While that is a little to "old school" for what I had in mind, it will work as a good basis to build the game I was looking at. Thanks for pointing it out.

Ah. "Classic" to me means D+D Basic, which is so old school it hurts!
