A potentially long-term villain for the Burning THAC0 game, based very loosely on Bargle the Infamous, of the classic D&D adventures. This version is meant to be a rival of Petronax, Thor's character.

Spells: Persuasion, Falcon Skin, Eldritch Shield

Beliefs:
1. Petronax will pay for what he has done, I shall let the world know what kind of man he really is.
2. I will need an army to realize my aims, I must acquire friends in high places, or at least the right ones.
3. Mastery of all the Spheres shall be mine, I will find the lost Book of Fire.

Instincts:
1. Never fight my own battles.
2. When arising, cast Eldritch Shield patiently and carefully.
3. Persuade first, ask questions later.

Oh! I see a bird battle in the sky in our future!!!!

Maybe.. I've been considering dumping Persuasion and Falcon Skin for Arcane Kindness.

::shudder::

By the way, I dug this up:

As for the name, IMC Bargle is the name he used when he was just a street urchin in Specularum, before he backstabbed a mage, stealing his spell book and learning magic on his own WITHOUT a master. Now he prefers the name Bargellus the Archmage, although his enemies still use his old name to taunt him.

The part about him being self-taught is Canon, actually. What other mage can boast such a feat?

It's from a post here (http://boards1.wizards.com/archive/index.php/t-414235.html).

Any interest in working this in? Maybe he attempted to attend the school of wizardry after?

Sure. The only real constraints we have here are the character is a noble (as established via your Circles roll) and he's a Sorcerer (because it's cool).
