1) 100 resource pts for the Permanent facet? Why not just come out and say, "No, you can't take this one?"
2) The Destroyer facet and its effect. In the general description of this facet, it mentions that it causes damage based on Will Power + 1 per Success over Obstacle. It then lists effects when paired with an element. Fire + Destroyer = +1 Power plus success over Obstacle. How is this different than say Earth + Destroyer? Do you mean a further +1 Power for a total of +2 per success? And accordingly, White + Destroyer would be +3 per success?
3) It's my opinion that the final distillation should be averaged and not divided by two. I don't understand why it was done this way, as nothing else in BW is done like this. Is it because of a fear of cheap spells? If so, let me illuminate my qualm with an example. Last night, I tried to make a cheaper light spell than the one in the book. I couldn't.
First, I tried a Natural Effect AoE but the final Obstacle came out to 5, which meant it would cost 20 points to purchase!! That would make it twice the cost of the spell in the book. The base Obstacle if using an average of the three last facets would only be 4, still making it 16 pts!
Thus, I learned that it's cheaper to buy from the CB than to make it yourself. Also, I am beginning to suspect the resource cost for spells. A light spell should not be the most expensive spell in the game, beating out even Lightning Storm (or whatever it's called). :?
