Whither Monbu revised?

So when's the next edition due out? Thinking I needs to get me some BW goodness sometime in the future, but I'd rather have the latest and greatest.

And is BWHQ discussing the possibility of hippie-fueled fantasy campaign rules a la BE?

The Monbu doesn't really need revision, if I recall the standard answer to that question. You need to change a couple references to paces, but it's pretty close to Revised rules anyway.

Ah! I was thinking this thread (http://www.burningwheel.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3487)was referring to a "new" edition of the Monster Burner. Incorporating 14 pages of errata would count as a "new" edition if it were up to me.

To respond to the other part of your post, Paul--although it is not officially sanctioned by BWHQ, gooderguy and I are still working on Burning Kingdoms. It should be ready to go, including playtesting, by summer at the latest.

Ooh! Neat. Do you have a sketch of how it works somewhere? I can imagine the maneuvers staying the same but the skill set per maneuver changing, depending on the overarching theme of the arc. And Kingdom Burning sounds like it could be big fun.

Yeah, look over in "It Only Takes a Spark" under "gm-less play" and "Battle!"

We have an entire, working set of macro maneuvers and a working Battle! system, but it needs revision.

There isn't really a Kingdom Burner à la the World Burner from BE, but it's not a bad idea. The piece of land or whatever the stakes of the conflict are do affect each faction's dispo though.
