I certainly hope so. :)

I assume you'll want to use the Irony Email server yes? rich.ditullio at gmail.com for me.
Be careful Verrain. Yagathai will turn your dreams into nightmares! :D

Oh well I know it. Usually I have my spider spin a dreamcatcher for protection, but I'm going with a two-legged character this time for a change of pace. :)

Our first volley is going to be awesome!

It could all be over right here. :)

I think ranged weapons should be restricted to R&C bouts only. I want to see some fighting here! Don't bore the crowd!

So put your dice where your text is and roll up a battler! Yag and I are jazzed! Screw the crowd! :)
Wow, there's seriously some errata going on here. FUG! Fug, fug, fug.
Ranged weapon Obs are listed differently on page 174 than on page 176. I suck. Please use base Ob 2 to hit. +1 Ob if you're positioning, +1 Ob if there's cover or your opponent as a big shield and Shield Training.
Fug. My apologies. Don't retcon anything, I just want this to be correct going forward. There shouldn't be any "ranges" for missile weapons in Fight. Damn it!

If I read positioning right, I have speed multiplier, neither one of us has weapon length (because if you're throwing your javelin, I'm sure as hell throwing my axe) and we're even on Reflexes, too. Yes?
I think you're wrong about the Speed Multiplier. Humans normally have a multiplier of 3.5, while dwarves have a multiplier of 3.
The Sprinting Training gets your dwarf up to a speed multiplier of 3.5. It negates the advantage die Tim would otherwise get, but doesn't grant you an extra die.
Mike's correct about his multiplier. Page 262 of the CB.

Wait, Luke, what about the special rules for shields and missile weapons on P. 189?

Thor, you wanna borrow my sig for a while?

Thor, you wanna borrow my sig for a while?
Nah, cause I actually looked it up before I posted, unlike some. ;)
Sprinting Training doesn't actually mention Dwarves. I assumed the reference to 1 more pace increased the multiplier from 3 to 3.5, not from 3 to 4. I should have looked more closely and derived that since men, elves and orcs, which are mentioned, increase from 3.5 to 4.5, it would be a similar step for dwarves. I blame jet lag.
Correction: USE THE SHIELDS vs MISSILE WEAPONS IN FIGHT! rules on page 189 because they are well considered and cool!

Hmmm. Well unless the dice truly hate you/love me, I'm on my ass. Not the best start to an exchange.

Nope. The dice are obviously biased.

Shoot. If I wasn't an idiot, I would have forfeited the Charge to change my positioning to Let Him Come.
Oh well. Now my Charge is likely going to fail and I'm going to eat a round of hesitation.

You're Charging? Really? I mean... really? Unless the dice turn against me, I think that's a very, very bad bet.

So far the dice have been turning against you. :) Besides, I was iffy on my ability to withdraw and pretty much all of my moves on the inside are Power based, so I chose the Power based maneuver that gave me the most bonuses for doing so. It was a gamble no mistake.

Alas, not this time. And you're going to be hesitating for the first action of next Exchange, which means unless you beat me on Positioning, it's all over but the crying. And the breaking of your hunter's neck, obviously.

Yeah its pretty much down to Run Screaming or Die Screaming. :)

Yagathai, if you weren't using a weapon that volley, you can't position with it. You were closing and locking with your hands, right? Or did I miss something in your script?
Yagathai

Bare hands are a weapon.
Verrain

Well in all fairness, it was Yagathai's turn to feel what it was like to lock an opponent that had failed a charge. ;)
Had I not gone for the armor, I was going to take the Slippery trait for just such an occasion.

Had you not gone for the armor, I would have beat you to death with my axe instead of locking you. But I couldn't very well fail a Greed check on the armor and then take an axe to it, could I?
