these traits have been picked from fantasy-humor fiction and will probably not do at a "serious" campaign
1. skeptic (source- www.brunothebandit.com)
call-on trait
"There is no such thing as magic!" -Dibunquer
the character is utterly convinced that all supernatural phenomena is the result of mass hallucinations, subconscious fears and such.
the character can try to negate any supernatural phenomena by disbelieving it (call on for will)- if successful the target is immediatly negated, if unsuccessful the character cannot disbelieve until a difficult will test is made.
sample obstacles
disbelieving a "special effects" enhanced spell* OB2
negating a convincing looking spell OB3
doubt a minor nameless spirit out of existence OB4
removing a supernatural ability from a magical being OB5
forcing a major demon back to the abyss by sheer force of doubt OB8
*spell in which it's obvious he caster is trying to enhance the effect with "whooshing powder" fireworks etc..
2. dimension traveler (source- robert asprin's "myth" series)
you are a dimension traveler ("demon" for short) - a man who knows about the dimensions and the ways of traveling between them.
while this trait does not include the skill needed for autonomous dimension travel, you do know how to use a D-Hopper and have some working knowledge of the most famous dimensions and the proper etiquette in the bazar in deva (a common 'hanging' place for demons)
note- a D-Hopper is not included in this trait, only the "how-to".
3. luggage (source- terry pratchett's "discworld" series)
you have a chest or a trunk that follows you around and can carry your belongings for you.
the luggage is sentient and therefor is treated as an npc- it has basic needs: food, sleep, an occasional walk around the park and it also might have personality quirks.
notes:
2. quick asprin dictionary
DEMON- dimension traveler: an extra-dimensional being, whether humanoid or not capable of travel between dimensions, often looks horribly alien to inhabitants of dimensions other then it's home one.
most demons posses the magical skill needed to travel but some must rely on a d-hopper
D-HOPPER- a small cylindrical device that enables the user to travel between dimensions (can take more than one traveler).
The Bazar at DEVA- in the dimension of deva exists the biggest market known- the deveels (the local inhabitants) offer almost everything imaginable for sale- at very high prices.
3. the luggage might aid in combat or in some skill checks, depending on it's personality
