Hi all,
Now that I've finished my final year at college, I officially have my life back...which is nice. It's all waiting now until I get my results. With that in mind, I've had the time to go back over the BW sheets I've had floating around for the last 3 years on my PC. I've posted the Character Sheet here (http://burningwheel.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4266) and I've been working on a positioning table (influenced by Agon). It can be found here (http://www.mediafire.com/?9f5jnpm1g9v) and as before, feedback is greatly appreciated.

I don't see a need for a Positioning sheet for BW, especially as it's covered quite nicely on the Fight!/Range and Cover Scripting Sheets.

Hi Yoki,
You're absolutely right, there is no need for the positioning sheet, but a visual representation makes my life a whole lot easier.

This (http://www.mediafire.com/?anhtpqwl2y4) is just a more BW-looking version...

Edited to change download location. The last one didn't seem to want to work.
Edited: Finally got the download working.

That reminds me, I've been meaning to put this together for a while:

As I'm sure folks are tired of hearing me say (heh) I'm a fan of tracking the absolute (not weapon-relative) striking distance, particularly after the clarifications that you can specify an intent to close to (say) optimal-for-my-sword-and-lunging-for-my-fist (as opposed to optimal-for-my-sword-but-out-of-reach-for-my-fist or optimal-for-my-sword-and-my-fist), which makes a difference if your opponent is armed with a mace.

That's actually a great chart for those that have a hard time keeping it straight.
Also, is that a ninja?

It's looks like a guy in modern fencing gear to me.

Yes, it's fencing gear. The guy's not ideal, it's just meant to be a visual cue to how to read the chart.

This chart wil be helpful Thursday! we are starting a BW game. just finished a BE game and I know that the distance thing will trip people up. I hope that this chart can help people see where they fall compared to their enemies!
Thanks Fuseboy!
I know you thought you put a fencer up there, but that is just a dirty Ninja that killed the fencer. the ninjas are taking over the Forum since they were not included in the Summer 07 Secret Project.

I've used colored pipe cleaners to represent relative distances between combatants.

There's also this thing I made a while back:

Basically, you use two tokens: one for your weapon and one for your opponent's weapon. When positioning tests are made, you slide the tokens appropriately.
I think you could use it for multiple opponents as well.
