Just ordered the books on thursday - and looking forward to tearing into the system.

I read every review and download you have on the site before I made my decision to buy the game - even the nasty threads on rpg.net.

Oh, on to the question...

In one of the chapter downloads it talks about forking or adding dice to a skill or ability to help with Ob checks - what do you do when the dice you fork to help a check are from an ability with a different shade?

I know, I could probably wait until I get the rules to figure this out. but it seemed like a good excuse to post something.

Well, when you add the dice due to a related skill or ability, make the actual die a different color. Do this so when you roll, you can know what you need to get a success with that individual die, because it's a different shade.

I think this is how it works, could be wrong.

I don't know for sure how it works with FoRKs (I think FoRK dice just wind up the same shade as the skill, but I'm happy to be proved wrong 'cause this sounds like it could add an interesting bit of complexity to the game).

But in general, when you're rolling dice of two different shades, it works exactly like the Munchkin said - make the actual dice a different color. This is how I handled someone with Grey Sorcery and Black Will, for instance.
