What is the conceptual difference between 'Arcane Devotee' and 'Neophyte Sorcerer'?
I know that the details are slightly different but I was trying to work out wich on fitted my character concept best. I am imagining a educated renaissance stlye man that has been brought up in a secret sorcerous society. So I was thinking 'Born Noble' -> 'Acane Devotee'.
Cheers,
Dan.

Definitions:
"Neophyte" suggests new life. It literally means "newly planted". It suggests immaturity and inexperience. Perhaps even being power-grabby, with no love for the subject.
A devotee is an ardent follower and admirer, a person strongly dedicated to something or someone, such as to a God or a guru. Often used interchangeably with disciple, though the latter term generally implies a deeper commitment.
So yeah, being brought up in a secret sorcerous society would probably match better with Arcane Devotee.

Also, take a look at the Traits. The Neophyte has Extremely Respectful and Bitter before becoming Gifted. That says to me that the Neophyte's master is pretty hard on him. Arcane Devotee has Base Humility and Gifted, which to me indicates a somewhat different relationship with whomever taught him Sorcery.
My take on it.
