Methuselah's Boon
The aether flowed into his old bones and made him ageless. This spell allows the caster to ignore aging - years pass as days. Successfully casting the spell grants this boon for one year, each additional success increases it by another year.

Schweet. Perhaps there could be a spell like "Vampiric Youth" or something like that. Taxes an opponent's forte and you transfer that into years being reduced on you. This could be an actual age reversal instead of a "holding the ravages of time at bay"

Methuselah's Boon is exactly what I was looking for, for an NPC in my game. Thank you very much for posting it, as I am still struggling with Abstractions. Also the "Vampiric Youth" spell, as suggested by the Beast would be excellent for my characters enemies in the game I play in. Any thing to make those pesky necro's a little more irritating.

I'm suspicious of your low Obs. I assume you're getting "Ob: Forte + 2^" from the fact that you used "Element: Anima Ob 5 Actions 5" and the final spell was "Ob 7^ Actions 2600"?

"The final obstacle for an Anima distillation is essentially an obstacle penalty that is tacked onto the target stat when casting."

It seems to me that this spell, as described, should be Ob: Forte + 7^. Methuselah does not dispense his boons that easily.

You're right, it should be Forte + 7. Although with that I'd probably drop the Majoris sigil, at least for the Ob penalty. Teaches me to do a spell before I've had my coffee.

Couldn't you throw in some minoris to extend the casting time, but lower the Ob?

yeah, it's -1OB for x5 actions

seems fair. I would also rule in the most definite use of channeler. Some incense, blah blah blah.

so +3D to casting. It can be done....I hope, then carefully and patiently. You are gonna spend a while.

what about helpers. I would rule a ritual could help.

can be done!

What if u could sacrifice a human to make it take off years instead of just stall?

*Starts scribbling on notebook and falls asleep*

a spell taking a little over 30 minutes, pisha, i'm talkin' like 8 long ritual!
