This is an excellent reference for a large variety of Heian Era costumes specifically revolving around the Tale of Genji: http://www.iz2.or.jp/english/fukusyoku/wayou/
In addition, the main site (http://www.iz2.or.jp/english/index.htm) has a link to a shop selling books and slides about the same, as well as a link to a 1/4 scale model of their vision of Rokujyo-in.
All in all, there are some really incredible visual aids to help with inspiration, as well as to show some GMs/players some examples of the really intricate costumes and architecture of the time.
Regards,
Daniel
