Hi Grong,

Welcome to the Wheel.

Falin is a good first outing. Simple, direct.

The text of the post seems a little scrambled, but from what I can tell there are a few things you need to adjust.

First off, you seem to have him listed with 11 mental points. Given the LPs you chose, he should have 9.

Second, if you're buying a weapon skill with your General Skill Points, just chose the exact skill you'd like. "Appropriate Weapon" is just a term we use to allow certain LPs to fit into many genres. It's not an actual skill. Players taking such LPs choose a weapon that is appropriate to the campaign, that's all.

If you're playing a medieval priest, using your General Points, you could choose Sword, Axe or Brawling. If you want to be more traditional and abide strictly by church law, you might choose Mace or Cudgel (priests weren't allowed to "shed blood.")

Third, your holy symbol actually costs 9 Rps... I know it's not explicitly stated but I treat them like a skill kit. But that's something you should discuss with your GM.

Fourth, the Beliefs are a good start, but you can really expand on them. They way you have them listed they read a bit more like Instincts! How about, "I walk in the Light."? or "By serving the needy and unfortunate, I serve the Light."? What you're trying to do with Beliefs is get to the core of character and provide yourself with a direction and lots of roleplaying opportunity. Also, the Beliefs should reflect why the character is doing what he/she is doing now. Why is he going to go on this "adventure?"

The Instincts you list are fine, but to avoid confusion and be fair to other players in the game, they should be clearly stated. Such as, "Always wear holy symbol prominently around neck." or "Rise before dawn to pray." A third might be "Give alms to the poor" or "Watch for downtrodden."

Using Instincts you want to start instilling your character with behavior he's learned in his life, but also provide yourself with some in-game grist. You want to make those Instincts apply to the game. They are designed to both create situations and help characters into and out of existing situations. Using your Instincts to create interesting play -- to make life difficult for your character -- earns you artha. Artha allows you gray out abilities. Gray abilities rock.

hope that helps!

If it's bad, see a doctor. Otherwise, disinfect it, keep it clean and dry and apply some antibiotic ointment and a non-stick pad. Hopefully it won't scar.

Does he not have the Faithful trait on purpose? I mean, that's cool if it is intentional as Phredd is now playing a similar character. But if you want to do the miracle thing, you'll need the Faithful trait.
