There is a miniscule section of the monster burner with a few creepy crawlies.
So has anyone used them in a game?
Just curious. If you have I was wondering what the outcome was.
Thanks,
- Don

I used the Forsaken Serpent as the first 'boss battle' in my first Burning Wheel game. Worked out very well. I've also used Imps on the odd occasion.
Those little critters are great for flavor.

YAY!!! Thanks Mordaith. Can you tell me anything about the encounter? How long did it take?

We've used two in Burning Gdinsk. Early on, the players were confronting Ilya, the flaky son of their comatose crime-brotherhood boss. Ilya had chosen a dog- and bear-baiting arena for the meeting, and when the tide turned against him he turned to flee while one of his flunkies unleashed Agata on the crowd, a scarred and pissed-off brown bear.
To make matters worse, Ilya had specifically trained the bear to attack dwarves using a wooden effigy of Gomdril, Sanjeev's player.
The resulting fight was chaotic but very cool. Brown bears are pretty fearsome in close combat! Gomdril's armour just barely saved him from two disembowling (Traumatic) blows, and he knocked the bear flat with a mighty great strike.
It was great, as in the meeting he had been gunning for leadership of the gang, and this victory really cemented him as a fearsome hero in the eyes of the brotherhood, it was wild.
In our most recent session, I used the dog profile to represent the bizarre headless guard-creation of an aspiring necromancer. Without a bite it wasn't quite as dangerous as a regular dog; in the fight it was just the vanguard of a cadre or orc infiltrators. Gomdril faced it as he was running up some stairs, and dealt it a blow that caused it to flee past him.
The unlikely dog then met an unlikely and entertaining end. Vasentesena (Rob's character) had picked up a crossbow left by one of the slain orc sentries, and with titanic luck stapled the fleeing dog to the wall with Superb beginner's luck.

Ah, those are Pete's guys, not Don's. Awesome, though!
Hey Mike - are you guys still playing Gdinsk? I miss the updates - it was a great game!
