Okay, I would like to run a limited series Play by Post. I can take as many as ten people.

This is how its going to work:

The setting is going to be the senatorial halls of a City under siege by an army of trolls and whose support mechanisms are being threatened by political struggles beyond their borders. A lot is at stake.

The forum will be just that. I will establish background for the players and sessions of senatorial meetings rife with rules of order and voting policy.

Everything that happens within the hall will be posted to the forums (ie. if you signal for an errand boy during someone's speech then you post it).

There will be limited actions outside the senate meetings and those things will be handled via Private Message between Senate Sessions.

Characters will be generated and sent to me via Private Message in a perscribed stat block. Once I establish interest I will post the character creation guidelines.

Those character names will then be structured and made into Forum Members. Thus when you post to the Play By Post or PM another player or myself you will do so as your character. It seems redundant to be in an environment where you create psudonyms only to turn around and have psuedonyms for those psuedonyms. I will create the new usernames (based on your input) so they are all uniform in structure and function and send you the passwords. This way I can monitor PM discussions (which is more for my enjoyment than anything else :D )

Please go let me know who is interested. I'd like to start this by the end of August.

Remeber that you can learn a little about the world by visiting this post...

This is the same city and background only from a different angle. The Play by Post game will take place over a year beyond the events in this campaign or any Dark Virtues posts (also the same campaign world).

Sounds like an interesting idea. I'll give it a try.

I'll play on one condition - you are simultaniously running the Ears solo game :)

So, is it required that our characters be senators? Or does what our character is not matter so much, as long as we're someone with a reason to be in the senate?

So did this idea die or what?
