Change Stance = free Block?

In the example for changing stance in the rulebook, it notes that the character switching to Defensive stance gets a free Block but not with the Defensive stance bonus. Do all changes in stance include a free Block action?

Only Defensive Stance gets this bonus.

It almost seems as if changing to an agressive stance ought to give a free offensive action as well, just to balance things out. The advantage shouldn't always go to the defender.

Just my 2 cents.

I think the free block is given because of the reactive nature of that action while switching into a defensive posture. A strike is more proactive and thus shouldn't be given out freely.
