Let me be the first to say this book is better than sliced bread!

Its beefy (so I have not finished all 400 pages of BW goodness yet... this weekend I'll be done pouring over its pages), its deep (with lots of developmental perspectives that help you understand how BW ticks), its useful (fit the monster to YOUR world, not visa versa), it won't hurt the wallet (shit! its a 20 spot! Even I can do that),a dn its ON FIRE!!!

If you don't have this book you should!

And the Roden are SO cool.

I'm gonna start creating my own races right now!

Hey eru,

I'll be heading home the 26th. So think I can stop by after guard duty this weekend and pick it up, maybe hang out some on Monday night?

I've described the MoB as the "Chilton's of the Burning Wheel".

It truly is a marvelous thing.

I just have to say that this book is remarkable. Not only for the content, which is continuously stimulating and inspires even more ideas than it provides (something which lamentably few RPG books even attempt to do), but for the quality of the production as well. The book is durable, it is well-formatted, well-written, and the illustrations are terrific. Burning Wheel, and the appearance of this book in particular, should shame the big boys who, despite larger coffers and sometimes even paid staff, fail to produce even properly copyedited books (Wizards of the Coast, anyone?). In short, Monster Burner succeeds not only as a top-drawer gaming product, but also as a finely-made book, a true aesthetic pleasure.
Thank you for the work you put into this. It's fantastic.
