I was wondering if Monster Burner had shipped yet.
All pre-orders shipped today and yesterday. If you ordered the game before August 24th, you should get it by mid-week next week (September 1st-ish).
Any orders since GenCon (post August 24th), will be shipped next week by Key20.

I just got my copy in the mail. Five minutes ago, so I haven't actually had a chance to read it yet. But I did skim through it. Holy moley, it looks fantastic. I'm continually impressed at the level of quality in the BW books. Way to go, Luke!

Okay, I've read the first third of it, the "Monster Burner" section.
This is seriously one the best RPG supplements I've ever read. Right up there with Sorcerer & Sword. The breakdown of stats and exponents, the "100 Questions," the Trait Burner, the Skill Burner, and the Monstrous Magic Burner are all brilliant. Anything after this--the Lifepaths and the Bestiary--are icing on the cake, as far as I'm concerned.
I'll probably post a more in-depth rave on another site or two, but for now, let's just say that the Monster Burner is fan-bloody-tastic.

Okay, I posted on RPGnet (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=143490=) and the Forge (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=12530). It's the same post, so don't feel that anyone has to read it at both places.

Monster Burner #21 arrived to Finland today. Pretty fast shipping, that.
It certainly looks good. I'll have to reserve some time in the following weeks to read it through. Also, have to reserve some time in the next few years to try out it and Burning Wheel.
- Merten. Busy.

I knew the mail in Charlotte, NC was slow, but slower than Finland and Spain? Sheesh.

It's quite regular phenomenon, actually - I'm a regular buyer of Hârnstuff and the products appear here faster than some places in States, from time to time. I suppose it has something to do with luck and the fact that there are daily flights from NY to Helsinki.
Also, it might be that Luke shipped the copies in numbered order.
Nonsense!
They all shipped in one big batch. Overseas stuff ships as Global Priority, in a special envelope. It's a remarkably efficient service for the USPS. All regional stuff goes through the post as normal.
Let me know if it doesn't arrive by the end of the week.

Actually Luke I'm not surprised. It may be a bi-product of my USPS branch or even letter carrier. I've often received mail from my family in NJ that is post-marked a week old.
Of course it's only the items I want that are slow. Bills and junk mail are right on time!
All is well. It was my letter carrier's fault after all. He put my Monster Burner in my neighbor's mailbox. Fiend! But copy 025 has been safely delivered.

Normally I'm against wasting other folks' time with a "me too" sort of post. Just a personal thing, it's how I was raised. Don't you judge me!
Anyhow, I have to rank the Monster Burner up there as, probably, my new favorite RPG supplement of all time. This means it supplants the heretofore unsupplantable Enter the Zombie for All Flesh Must be Eaten. I loved EtZ because it offered new rules and ways of interpreting the old rules in such a way as to fundamentally improve the original game, and the writing and atmosphere were terrific. The Monster Burner doesn't precisely change or add any rules, it just sort of takes the cover off of the existing ones and says here you go, here's the stuff going on under the surface. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like making monsters really is a breeze, and a fun one. Plus, the provided monsters and new, complete playable races are unspeakably awesome.

It's the kind of supplement that I wish every game had.

Proud owner of copy #231 here to stay this is an awesome book, so much fun to be had, so much to throw at my players. As much as I am looking forward to the magic burner and other books. I hereby promise to stop buggin Luke for new material. If the next wave of improvements takes a while that's fine with me I know it will be worth the wait.

My #205 showed up a couple days ago as well. I started reading right away, but there's sooo much stuff here it's mind-boggling. Every time I read something I end up flipping back to TBW and CB and checking stuff out. Very cool! I must say that Monster Burner is a bit of a misnomer, the book is so much more than that.
Needless to say I will try and finish it today. And since I just re-read some of the Horseclans books, perhaps I'll burn up some Prairiecats (think Psychic Sabretooth tigers) to put my new-found knowledge to use.
Having just finished re-reading BW itself, I'm now onto my Gen con copy of MB and it is a fantastic.
I can't imagine I won't get to the end of this book without coming up with a world idea or three.
Can't wait to just get a few traditional BW games under my belt first.
Great book.

I giggle like a little girl on spotting the Roden lifepath options for both Pinky and The Brain.

Received #268 today. And decided to take this opportunity to register on this board, and express my thanks to the designer for making this fine game (and book, because the material quality of the monster burner is great for the price... to bad I had nearly the same amount of shipping fees)
Can't wait for the annual !
