Hi All,

On the off chance that people have extra copies of BW for sale, I'd like to entreat you to put them up for offer on this site -- rather than ebay or titan games (yergh).

In the spirit of the game, I'd like to ask that you, the seller, only charge $20 (+shipping) for the game. Doing so would not only greatly please me, but it would help spread the word of the Wheel even farther.

So, Eruditus (who has three extra sets, PM him), Durgil, can you post your wares here?

thanks,
-Luke

No problem.

Okay, read the description here (http://burningwheel.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4408#4408), and I guess the first person to contact me first wins my copy for $25 domestic (add $5 for international orders).

I perfer payments through Paypal (https://www.paypal.com/).

Okay, my set has been sold. For all of the noise about not being able to buy a copy, and I only had one email all day since I making my initial post.

And by the way, at what point did I become a Zealous Convert?

Well, damn.

Serves me right to spend the day with my girlfriend.

I was the guy making the big hullabaloo on the other thread about not being able to buy a copy - based on the following methods:

Checked FLGS - not in stock, but they're trying to order it from a distributor.

Checked 12 online game stores, not in stock in any of them.

Called two in-state game stores. Not in stock at either one, both of them said trying to special order would be useless and might take several months. Given the plan for a new edition, seemed foolish to order from them.

Sent e-mails to five game stores without websites - haven't heard back from any of them.

This is why I'm a bit baffled at why there's no plan for a reprint - copies on shelves are always a good thing.

So I came to this forum and registered, asking if the "out of print" plan was going to change.

Since then, I was advised to PM a member on this forum who apparently had extra copies he wouldn't mind parting with - so I did - but I haven't heard back yet (but that's cool).

I was offered a "well worn" copy - but it sounded like it might be an inconvenience to the person in question. If news of a copy doesn't materialize by Friday I might take them up on it.

If I'd been home rather than doing wedding registry, grocery shopping, and at the movies. I'd have been on your offer in a heartbeat.

I'll poke Eru for you. I'd hate to see folk miss out on the Wheel :)

I will post this (despite it being very uncool of abzu to single anyone out in this regard) to clarify the copies I have.

1) my copy that now is filled with the signatures of over 20 of my favorite game designers... I believe the term "pried from my cold dead fingers" would be appropriate.

2) my girlfriend's copy was counted among them. Although spring_violet lives with me I still think this is analogous to Luke saying "hey Don, round up the copies all your friends have so we can give them to people who have not seen them yet." I barely think that's appropriate.

3) So that leaves the copy I now use regularly that resides at my workplace, mostly as I try to finish my BW setting,

4) The copy #60 given to me as a gift from Luke,

5) and a copy#300 that I hope to give to some lucky sod that wins one of my upcoming demos. At least folk have SOME chance of getting BW by participating in convention games, bringing even more people into the burning fold.
