So, I've been out of the loop for a little while, and managed to miss the Magic Burner preorder. :-( I may have overlooked something obvious, but the after-party scene of spilled drinks and damp confetti is a little confusing.
The front page of the site is a full-page ad for the Magic Burner. Is there something I should be clicking on, given that I want one? The only two avenues seem to be:
Click on 'Forum', scroll down to the twentieth topic, and read eleven pages of the Summer Secret Surprise thread.
Click 'Order', and go to the store - whose main page has four hyperlinks to itself, a tantalizing reference to 'Burning Wheel Preorders! Burnnig Wheel Summer Secret Surprise '08', but nothing else.
What am I missing? :-(

Unfortunately there were only 200 books available for the preorder which sold out in six hours, those people will be getting their books in August. For those who missed the preorder the book will be out for regular purchase in September.

Hey Fuseboy,
Luke just announced in another thread that, when the final numbering was done, they still had four left over. I think that means that they only actually sold 196 in the initial mad dash, but maybe it means that they didn't realize that there were actually 204? Either way, get in touch with Luke ASAP!

Well, I'll bite. Any truth to this rumor?
There were many errors and duplicates in the madness. So we only actually sold 196. We're debating about what to do with the remaining four behind the scenes.

I advocated for a bizarre, blood-soaked ritual involving sacrificing The Four to unthinkable chthonic deities to ensure that everyone who reads of the Magic Burner is driven mad in a crimson orgy of self destruction.
But everyone thought it was too much effort. Also, Dro didn't like the idea of being cut. :(

I was kind of hoping you would make all that wanted one come to GenCon, dress up as Orcs, and run through the Gauntlet of Pain. Those that survived would then fight until only four remained. Its worth it for the viral video advertising alone!

Well, on the off chance that it would improve my odds, I'd go try making a ritual sacrifice. But w/o the MaBu, I realize I don't know how to make it have any effect.

Shot in HD with an awesome soundtrack of course. It could be massive. Would need to figure out how to get some revenue from it though.

Figure out how to get revenue? Hell, that practically sells itself!
