I've been running a game for a bit now, and we have gotten the PCs in a place with their beliefs and instincts so that everybody has at least 1 come up in a session. This is not true for traits. For the most part the traits are call-on traits (like plain face) that don't have much RP, or they are traits my players don't enjoy much by role-playing ("I vow to drink at anytime I can").
We have all decided that we'd be interested in getting more traits, however there is no interest in making new characters as everybody it attached to the current. The only problem is that voting more traits on to characters seems wierd. Like, what excuse do we have that a character should gain a trait? Do players have to role-play like they have the trait 1st, then it gets voted on when they do well enough?
How have other people delt with this? And is it realistic to vote-on a call-on trait for anything?
