Abzu, what are you using to lay out char sheets, etc. before converting to PDF? I've been (slowly) working on an adventure that would use pre-gen characters, and I'd like to have them set up in a nice printable format.
I've taken a whack at some of your orc sheets in Acrobat, but found that while I could edit stuff, it would be excruciating to do complete characters from those docs.
Hi Phredd,
I'd recommend importing my PDFs into Quark or Indesign and then setting all of your type over them using the basic layout functions. That way you can choose your font, edit them easily and even add graphics! Acrobat is a bit of a pain.
If you need to modify the actual sheet itself... perhaps ripping it into photoshop, making your changes and outputting a pdf (to be used as suggested above).
All the current sheets were designed in Quark 4.1, but are all being converted over to Indesign CS.

So Quark or InDesign can import PDFs and kept them texty?
Cool.

No, they import them as images. But then you can use the basic layout tools in either program and overlay any elements you need. Print it out and you can't tell the difference!
