Need help ordering Magic Burner

So, the Magic Burner is available through Key20. I live in a flophouse where receiving packages safely is a little iffy. I've gone to two game stores in the area, Games of Berkeley and End Games in Oakland, and neither seems to think that the game is currently available to order. What can I do to get a copy shipped to a store/teach the stores how to order the Magic Burner?

Both of those stores know that BW is available, particularly End Game. End Game, unfortunately owns a slice of IPR, another fulfillment house. So End Game wants their orders to come through IPR because then they get a double cut -- they get their percentage of the sale and their percentage of IPR. IPR has yet order the Magic Burner. So this coziness might take a while. I know End Game has indicated that they're going to order copies of the book.

Until that eventual day, you can try to pay End Game up front and have them order you a copy from Key20 or Alliance.

Thanks for the advice. When I mentioned prepaying to order before, they said they would just call me when they had it, but I think I'll ask again. If that doesn't work, well, I'll find a friend who's address I can use.

Emailed IPR just after this was posted; reply from Fred Hicks says order now in and books should be available via IPR in 2 weeks or less. 'Bout darned time! :)

End Games tells me their order is shipping, and that it should arrive between today and Tuesday. I do not know if they are ordering through IPR or Key20; I am glad that I will have my own copy of the book soon.

IPR has it available, as of yesterday. When I ordered my copy a short while ago, they had 140 copies left in stock.

I'm in Toronto, and the only game store I've found that carries Burning Wheel stuff is The Hairy Tarantula. I pre-ordered the Magic Burner from them back in August, but they seem to have trouble getting any BW stuff in stock... they're down to their last copy of BE and their last Monster Burner, and that's all they have. Any news on what's going on there?

Our stuff is in print and in distro. Any problems they're having are on their end, not ours.
