BWHQ is looking to retain the services of a freelance editor.

We are looking for an intelligent individual who is fluent in roleplaying games in general and Burning Wheel specifically. More specifically, we are looking for someone who can participate in high-level content reads, rules discussion and organization. It is an intellectually and creatively demanding position.

We are extremely deadline-oriented. Did I say extremely? I meant EXTRAORDINARILY.

We hire at a reasonable rate on a per project basis. But we're only talking a couple of thousand dollars per year.

Thor and I will train you regarding our house style and method.

Interested? Email me at luke@burningwheel.org.

Thanks,
-Luke

What software experience, hardware experience, and location requirements?

Well, if you're not local, you have to be able to skype and AIM. Otherwise, you must be fluent in commenting and mark-up in PEN on PAPER. Seriously. I hate PDF mark ups.

Submitting to AIM with me is no fun thing. It means random questions at random times.

Does this position require any previous (professional) editing experience?

Relevant experience is a plus. I'm willing to hear folks out as to why they think they're qualified.

This is what my sister does (professional editor/writer freelancing) for the past 10 years or so. But she hasn't done any roleplaying since the Red Box days unfortunately.
